Art Walk this Weekend! June 27-29
For the 22nd year in a row, visitors from throughout the Rocky Mountain region will converge on Salida June 27-29 for the eagerly awaited “Salida ArtWalk” weekend.
A variety of ArtWalk fun abounds for the whole family: street performances, sales, gallery entertainment and demonstrations, horse-drawn wagon rides, Salida Circus stilt walkers, theater productions, street musicians, symphonic concerts, and more. Saturday at Noon at the Maverick Potter: Blindfolded potter demo followed by wheel throwing at 3:00 p.m.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. William Boddy’s Gallery: Live painting on a large canvas.

Saturday Noon – 3:00 p.m. at Art & Salvage: Children can make and bind their own notebook with re-used materials.

ArtWalk Mini Masterpiece Auction is the major fundraiser for Art Walk advertising on the Front Range. The Salida area has a wealth of great artists who display in local galleries and other venues.
You can view, bid, or buy on Friday, June 27from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. and/or Saturday, June 28 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the SteamPlant Annex. Enjoy a wonderful sampling of local art as well as tasty treats and drinks. At 11:00 on Saturday, the bidding stops and you can claim your masterpiece (s) as the final bidder. Please plan to pay with cash or check if you can. This is your chance to decorate your walls while you support your community, collect mini masterpieces of your favorite local artists, and increase the downtown business area viability all at the same time. Plus it is GREAT FUN! Mark your calendars….. and be sure to visit all the great venues, demonstrations, and musical entertainment during ArtWalk!
