Wood’s Distillery Art Gallery Show for the Salida Plein Air Painters
A group of Salida area artists, the “Salida Plein Air Painters”, will show a few of their works, done “en plein air”. The paintings are done all or mostly on location outdoors. They will feature the landscapes of Chaffee and adjacent counties. The artists travel throughout our mountains and river valley to set up easels and envelop themselves in their environment. Often, they paint together and thus the idea for a group show was begun. They paint during the spring, summer and fall, usually on Tuesday mornings. Everyone is welcome.
Our unifying theme is to showcase our regional surroundings through on location interpretations. There may be several paintings of nearly the same spot, and each will give the viewer a very different feel.

Media includes oils, watercolor, pastel, ink, and mixed media, done on canvas, paper, and board, mostly two dimensional. Prices range from $50 to $450.
