Salida Recreation presents: Accordian Ink

Salida Recreation will be hosting local graphic artist Lisa DeYoung for a 2 evening workshop entitled Accordion Ink. During the workshop, participants will explore different textures and inks to create a personalized accordion fold journal. The class will also take participants through a “personal mapping exercise,” making tangible the experiences of your daily life.

The class will be held in Chisholm Park (324 Hunt St) on Wednesdays, October 22 and 29, from 6 – 8 pm. The second session will build on materials created during the first session. Registration is open to all adults, and there is no experience necessary. A minimum of 5 students is need to run the class.

The registration deadline for the class has been extended to Friday, October 17, by 3:30 pm. Please call 539-6738 to register. The class fee of $50 includes both evenings of instruction and all art supplies, including a few to take home with you!
