Colorado Creative Industries has three award opportunities for Colorado communities, nonprofit organizations and creative entrepreneurs.
Colorado Creates
CCI’s largest grant program provides financial support to help nonprofit cultural organizations and communities produce arts and cultural activities. The program will now be a two-year grant funding period for successful applicants. Since there have been significant changes in the Colorado Creates program, please read the guidelines and information thoroughly. Please note that there are staggered deadlines for the updated program.
Career Advancement Awards
Career Advancement awards support Colorado creative entrepreneurs and artists to help stimulate their commercial creative business. The goal is that awardees will achieve tangible business benefits such as increased revenue, new audiences or improved management practices. The next deadline is Monday, May 2, 2016, and though all arts disciplines are welcome, the CCI strategic priorities for the next round are Fashion Arts and Graphic Design. Learn more.
NEW PROGRAMS TO ASSIST RURAL ECONOMIES
Colorado Blueprint 2.0 – Blueprint Initiatives
From March 15 – June 1, 2016, rural Colorado communities and regions can apply for specialized resources from the Colorado Office of Economic Development, other state agencies, and external partners to help address their own unique economic development issues. Regions and communities must apply through their local economic developer to ensure there is broad support in the community for the initiative. Selected communities will be announced in July for site visits accompanying the resources, with additional communities being selected for visits in 2017. Learn more and apply.

COLORADO REVEALED VIDEO CONTEST
Entrants can win up to $15,000 in prizes and three Hateful 8 film strips provided by Kodak
Video submissions will be accepted through April 4, 2016. The public will be invited to vote on the best videos. The Colorado Revealed Video Contest is hosted on The Audience Awards contest platform. Entrants will need to create a free Audience Awards account to submit to the contest. Viewers can also sign up for free to watch and vote for their favorite videos from April 5-11, 2016. OFF THE HOOK ARTS SUMMERFEST 2016

Off the Hook Arts Summerfest is a collaborative arts event featuring classical chamber music performance and a juried professional art show. The show will take place at the Community Creative Center in Fort Collins from June 22-July 2. This is a collaborative show that pairs visual art and live chamber music performance. 34th Annual New Legacies Contemporary Art Quilts
Details: This juried exhibition features the current work of the finest national and international contemporary quilt artists. Art quilts accepted for exhibition will exemplify innovation in quilting and surface design techniques as well as excellence in artistic composition and craftsmanship.
Awards: $2,000 in total; $1,000 Grand Prize Award, sponsored by Machine Quilting Unlimited, $500 for Creative Artistry, $500 for Creative Innovation

McNichols Bike Art and Culture Celebration
Call for Artists and Designers
Details: A tribute to Colorado’s bike culture. Denver Arts and Venues will reopen the newly remodeled McNichols Civic Center Building in September of 2016. The building’s opening exhibit will feature a tribute to Colorado’s bike culture through diverse art exhibitions and installations for three months. AVD wants to fund an outdoor bike installation that’s radically creative and high impact, think BIG, BOLD, BRILLIANT and BREATHTAKING, for installation in August.
