Creative Industries Summit 2019 Request for Proposal: Table Centerpieces

The City of Salida Creative District has been selected again to host the 2019 Colorado Creative Industries Summit on May 16 & 17. The Summit will be bringing together more than 300 attendees from all parts of the state and various creative entities – creative entrepreneurs, emerging creatives, municipal and non-profit cultural staff, and creative community leaders. The Summit aims to present and discuss topics that address practical, nuts-and-bolts approaches to creative business and how-to’s for working collectively with creatives, municipalities and businesses.
The host committee for the Summit is looking for artists and creatives to design and produce centerpieces that will be on display on the 30-35 tables during the three meals provided to the attendees. The budget for each centerpiece is $15.00. Additionally, please submit a retail price for the pieces as each one will be for sale and available for purchase after the final Awards Luncheon that takes place on Friday, May 17. Artists will receive 100% of the proceeds on the sale of their centerpieces.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the purpose of submitting designs for two (2) centerpieces that are approximately 12” x 12” in size, not to exceed 14” in diameter or 12” in height. The centerpieces do not have to be identical.
All RFP’s must include the following for consideration:
- Artist(s) Information: Name, Full Mailing Address, Email Address, Daytime/Mobile Phone Number
- Narrative: Write a brief description of the proposed centerpieces. Please include the following information: medium of work(s) to be submitted, retail price value, theme anticipated, size of centerpiece (250 words or less)
- Images: Submit 5-10 digital images of recent work. The images submitted should be demonstrative of the nature of work to be represented in the centerpieces. Please submit in .jpg format.
- Artist Statement & Biography: Please provide necessary information to cover your statement and biography (250 words or less)
- Deadline for Submissions: By 5:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2019
