Call to Artists
Name of Venue or Event: SteamPlant Sculpture Garden is located just west of the SteamPlant Event Center’s historic building. The Sculpture Garden is a collaborative depiction of local and regional artists and is part of the annual Salida ArtWalk.

Entry Requirements: This exhibition celebrates a wide range of sculpture work. The work can range in size and medium.
Eligibility: The work will be considered based on its ability to withstand outdoor elements in Salida for one year.
Requirements: Provide a cover letter describing exhibition proposal along with five to 10 (5-10) digital images on CD/DVD. Images should be presented in JPEG format with image size set to 300 dpi resolution, 4″ x 6″ image size, approximately.
Timeline: June 9, 2014 – June, 2015
Entries Due: Friday, May 30, 2014
Selection Committee: Bernice Strawn, Merry Cox and Michael Varnum
Notification to Artist: Artist will be notified the first week of June, 2014.
Artist Agreement: The Artist agrees that all work is original, that the work is professionally constructed of durable materials, has no easily damaged parts, is suitable for outdoor public display, is constructed in a way that will not cause safety or liability problems and will not require maintenance during the months it is exhibited. The artist is responsible for securely attaching the work to a durable steel base or mounding plate for the piece to be welded or bolted to a metal plate or, if over 6’ tall, to a concrete base.
Delivery: Artist is responsible for delivery and installation of all artwork.
Reception: Saturday, June 28, 2014 from noon – 4:00 p.m.
Exhibit or Event Ends: June 1, 2015
