Browns Canyon National Monument – Your Views Reflected!
Join us Saturday, May 20th in Salida at the SteamPlant Ballroom for a presentation of results based on the 300+ people who voiced what is important about Browns Canyon National Monument and who shared the many ways that they interact with the area.
In 2017, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in cooperation with Colorado Parks and Wildlife will begin developing a management plan for Browns Canyon National Monument, an area of 21,604 acres of scenic and diverse natural resources along the upper Arkansas River of Colorado. The agencies have been gathering information about the area, including opinions and perspectives held by members of the public.
At the presentation, the BLM and the USFS will invite previous participants to help review the draft report to ensure that the range of views and sentiments captured in the draft report accurately reflect what was shared and to provide feedback on any major omissions.
